About Me

Hi, I’m Hope!

I obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Houston in 2021, and currently hold an LSWAIC. I have a heart for meeting individuals right where they are at with grace and compassion. I strive to make the counseling environment a safe space for individuals of all walks of life and am committed to a strengths-based, client centered, and collaborative approach.

I am trauma-informed and draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also enjoy utilizing mindfulness, self-compassion, and expressive arts therapy techniques.

I have experience working with individuals of various ages and cultural backgrounds. I am LGBT+ affirming, and welcome those of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds. I strive to approach the therapeutic relationship with humility and curiosity.

My areas of interest include: Relational issues, identity formation, family dynamics, issues of faith and spirituality, feminist issues, and trauma.

I am excited to meet you and come alongside you in your journey towards healing and growth. Therapy is hard work but I am a big believer in also making it fun and empowering; both tears and laughter have a place in the therapy room.

Please reach out if you think we would be a good match!
